NIFTY 50 8831.55(43.10) (0.49%)
On Monday, Nifty opened marginally higher but, we witnessed a sideways
movement within a small range to end the session tad above the 8800 mark.
On Tuesday, Nifty opened on a flat note in line
with mixed global cues. After that it slipped below the 8800 mark and then
remained inside the negative territory throughout the day. On next day, we witnessed a flat opening and Nifty surpassed the 8800
mark after that. However, a modest correction in the latter half dragged the
index lower to close on a flat note. On Thursday, our markets opened with a
decent upside gap owing to extremely positive cues across the globe. However,
the Nifty consolidated in a thin range throughout the day to end the session
almost around its opening point. On Friday, Indian equities extended sell-off
in late trade on profit booking after a consolidation.
The Nifty50 opened
the week at 8788.45, made a high of 8893.95, low of 8757.30 and closed the week
at 8831.55. Thus, the Nifty closed the week with a gaining of 43.10 points or
0.49%
