Commentary: Stock Future Tips
Sensex,
on Wednesday, lost 67 points to close at 27,984. Markets closed the day
on lower side on account of profit booking by investors tracking the
volatility in global market ahead of ECB meet. Among sectors, FMCG,
Reality, Auto and Bankex lost over 0.5% to 1.9% each whereas Power
gained 1.1%. Among stocks, Wipro, Lupin, Adani Ports and Gail gained
1.5-2.7% each, whereas ITC, ICICI Bank, Hero MotoCorp and HUL lost over
1.0% to 2.4% each. However, Market breadth was positive with 1,628
advances against 1,179 declines.

Nifty closed 19 points lower at 8,659. Today, we expect the markets to open in green on the back of positive global cues.
US
Markets closed on a positive note. Dow closed 0.22% up, while Nasdaq
closed flat. U.S. stocks headed toward the first back-to-back gains in
almost two weeks, with energy producers rallying as crude oil touched a
15-month high and banks gained amid better-than forecast earnings. US
markets, today, will see data releases on Unemployment Claims, Existing
Home Sales, Natural Gas Storage.
Asian markets
are trading on a positive note; Nikkei is trading 1% up, while Hang Seng
is trading 0.6% higher. SGX Nifty is trading 34 points higher 8,693.
Indian ADRs ended the day on a mixed note. Among financial ADRs, ICICI
Bank closed 1.6% down, while HDFC Bank lost 0.2%. Among IT ADRs, Wipro
gained 0.7%, while Infosys gained 0.5%. Tata Motors ADR closed 0.6%
higher.
